| 1922 | Albert H. Bartle |
First Scoutmaster of Troop 7; Served as Scoutmaster through year 1924; Served on the Troop Committee and through the year 1938 for a total of 16 years dedication. Originally, 11 Scouts met in Albert Bartle's garage at 1025 Castile Avenue.
Troop 7 was officially chartered with the Boy Scouts of America in 1923. Scout meetings were moved from Scoutmaster Bartle's garage to Coral Gables Congregational Church and held on a weekly basis. |

| 1926 | Rodney Davis |
| Scoutmaster for 1926 and 1927. Total of two years service to Troop 7. During this year, George Merrick, Developer of the City of Coral Gables, donated land on the Coral Gables Golf Course to Troop 7 for the construction of a permanent boy scout meeting place. In May of 1926, plans for a rustic log cabin were developed by architect Phenias Paist, the man that designed Venetian Pool, Biltmore Hotel and many of the most outstanding buildings and homes in Coral Gables. On October 14, 1926 George Merrick's Gables Construction Company cut and delivered the logs for the original scout cabin. Most of the logs came from fallen timber after the hurricane of 1926. | |

| Served as Scoutmaster 1928 through 1934. Total of 7 years service to Troop. George Merrick presents Scoutmaster Leroy Kimports with the keys to the cabin and the deed to the land. For the first time, the boy scouts of George Merrick's Troop 7 have their own special meeting place. The log cabin had a fireplace and chimney, plus a large compass painted on the floor. The boys met here every week and their enrollment soon grew to about 60 boys and 15 adult volunteers. | |

| Served as Scoutmaster 1943 through 1946. Total of 4 years service to Troop 7. | |

| Served as Scoutmaster years 1948 and 1949. Total of 2 years. | |

| 1950 | J. Rex Hawkins |
Served as Scoutmaster for this year, 1950. Had served prior years as Troop Committeeman from 1944 through 1949. was Scoutmaster again for the year 1963. Served again on Troop Committee from 1951 through 1962. Again on Troop Committee from 1964 until his death in 1975. He was awarded the Silver Beaver and dedicated a total of 31 years of service to Troop 7. Scoutmaster J. Rex Hawkins almost singlehandedly maintained the continuity of the troop while others were involved in the war effort. His endeavor made the difference in keeping Troop 7 alive during these difficult years while most troops were interrupted. |

| Served as Scoutmaster 1954 through 1957. Served on Troop Committee 1958 through 1961. | |

| 1958 | Richard M. Averett |
| Richard M. Avirett became Scoutmaster in 1958 and served through 1962, for a total of 5 years service to Troop 7. His son, Richard Averett, made Eagle rank in 1961. Richard had a distinguished military record, and during WWII, and credits his survival on the lessons he learned as a scout. Mr. Avirett made a gift to Troop 7 of a beautiful eagle portrait on the occasion of our 75th Anniversary in 1999. Mr. Avirett passed away in October, 2006. | |

| His record is listed above in 1950, and this is just one of his total 31 years service. | |

| 1964 | Harry W. Craft |
| Served as Scoutmaster 1964 through part of 1971. Total 7 years, 5 months. | |
|
|
|
| 1971 | Douglas Carlton |
| Took over as Scoutmaster last part of year 1971 and served through 1973. He had served as Assistant Scoutmaster for 5 years, prior to 1971. | |

| 1974 | Joseph T. Crownover |
Joe served 4 years as scoutmaster beginning in 1974.
Joe Crownover joined Troop 7 as a tenderfoot in 1931. Over the next two years, Joe achieved the rank of first class, earning two merit badges. Joe joined the Navy on December 7, 1936. He was wounded in the battle of Pearl Harbor, earning a Purple Heart medal. Since that time Joe always wore a patch over his left eye. After 30 years of distinguished military service, he returned to Troop 7 as Assistant Scoutmaster in 1967. Joe served 4 years as scoutmaster 1974-1978 then began keeping impeccable advancement records until he passed away in 2005. Joe’s 40 years of dedicated service to Troop 7 set the standard for all adult scouters. Joe was buried in his boy scout uniform. The new scout building was dedicated to the memory of J. Rex Hawkins during Joe's tenure as Scoutmaster on July 25, 1976. |

| 1978 | Thomas Dixon |
Tom served as Scoutmaster for 6 years from 1978 until 1984 and has continued his service as Assistant Scoutmaster from 1985 until 2007 when he retired from as the manager of the Plummer Building and moved to Texas. Tom is repsonsible for many of the improvements and much of the maintenance of the scout house over the years and has contributed to our collection of historic flags. His son, Michael earned his Eagle Scout rank in 1975. |

| Served as Scoutmaster in 1985 and 1986. | |

| 1987 | Fred Kimball |
This Scoutmaster joined Troop 7 as an 11 year old boy in 1967. His father was teaching swimming lessons to other scouts and this is how Fred became interested in scouting. He served 7 years as a Scout and became an Eagle Scout in year 1971. In 1974 he became an Assistant Scoutmaster and served through 1986. In 1987 he became Scoutmaster of Troop 7 and served through the end of 2003, 17 years. Fred has pariticpated in the 32 mile Barefoot Mailman Hike for over 35 consecutive years. |

| 2004 | David A. Albury |
| As a Kiwanis member, David Albury brought his son, D.J. from Troop 840 to join the ranks of Troop 7 in August of 2003. Right away, David became involved in the troop committee and was appointed the Chartered Organization Representative by Kiwanis. He is a third generation Eagle Scout and Captain in the Fire Department of the City of Coral Gables. David became Scoutmaster in 2004 and served through September 2007. | |

| 2007 | Robin V. Burr |
| Joined Troop 7 in September 1994 as an adult volunteer when her son, Robert Burr joined the troop, and has lead the Troop to summer camp each and every year from 1996 through 2011. She has served in numerous capacities as Committee Secretary, Treasurer, Advancment Chair (very well trained by Joe Crownover) as well as Charter Organization Representative. She stepped up to be the first female scoutmaster in Troop 7's 85 year history in 2007 while simultaniously serving as the Cubmaster of Pack 7 for 3 years. Robin retired at the end of 2011 after serving 4 years as Scoutmaster and a total of 17 years service to the Troop. | |

| 2012 | Timothy Wensing |
| Joined Troop 7 in April 2010 as an Assistant Scoutmaster when his son, Christian, crossed over from Pack 7. He took on roll of Scoutmaster beginning in January 2012. | |
